En estas páginas, examinaremos el Libro centroamericano de los muertos, de Balam Rodrigo, una obra poética que transgrede los límites del género para convertirse en crónica y testimonio de las atrocidades contra los migrantes, entre los períodos calderonista y peñanietista. El punto de partida de la obra es la intertextualidad con Brevísima destrucción de las indias, de Bartolomé de las Casas; y sobre ésta, se ensambla los códigos de la crónica y el testimonio. En este sentido, abordaremos la yuxtaposición de ambos códigos y su conexión con lo que hoy se denomina poesía no lírica. Consideraremos también el término escritura desapropiativa, ya que en la obra de Balam Rodrigo hay una pugna por hacer visible y palpable la presencia de otros decires y haceres, un discurso poético cuya discursividad y performatividad rompe con lo privado y se orienta hacia lo político y hacia lo público. Migrant Chronicle and Testimony in the Libro centroamericano de los muertos by Balam Rodrigo Abstrac In these pages, we will examine the Libro centroamericano de los muertos, by Balam Rodrigo, a poetry book that breaks the limits of genre to becomes a chronicle and testimony of the atrocities against migrants, between the presidential periods of Calderón and Peña Nieto. The starting point of the work is the intertextuality with Brevísima destrucción de las indias by Bartolomé de las Casas, on which it builds the codes of the chronicle and the testimony genres. In this sense, we will address the juxtaposition of both codes and their connection with what is today known as non-lyric poetry. We will also consider the term of non-proprietary writing, since in the work of Balam Rodrigo there is a struggle to make visible and palpable the presence of other sayings and doings; a poetic discourse whose discursivity and performativity breaks with the private and is oriented towards the political and the public.
